Not quite as well-known as, say, All Hallows' Eve, Reading Week's Eve occurs on the Friday before Reading Week. It's most often celebrated by undergrads trying to catch an early bus/train/plane home, or an extra day of skiing reading. Sadly, this misunderstood holiday often leaves both celebrants and abstainers alike feeling less than comfortable:

• Those that celebrate sometimes feel guilty for missing classes.
• Those that don't celebrate sometimes feel cheated, or abandoned.

To avoid such disappointments, Section R will officially celebrate Reading Week's Eve.
